The Communications Directorate relies on a comprehensive systematic strategy that reflects the performance of Works Affairs. Through the interaction with the society, the directorate is always keen to inform the public about MOW’s project, achievements and services. As well as, choosing the media content and the proper communication channels.

The Media and Community Service Section consists of two groups, namely the Media Group and the Community Service Group. The Media Group works on emphasizing the Ministry’s projects to the audience by promoting them in all media channels, as well as firming up the connection with the channels. The group also assures to respond to any inquiries or comments on the projects and to forward them to the Top Management. Moreover, the group targets to enhance the public awareness about the Ministry’s mission, vision and strategic objectives and to update the citizens and residents about the Ministry’s latest achievements and progress achieved in projects implemented by the Ministry.
The Community Service Group, on the other hand, is responsible for detecting and receiving complaints and requests from citizens and residents through The National Suggestion and Complaint System (Tawasul), and direct them to the Ministry through all media platforms. The group also prepares detailed monthly reports that contain graphical analysis to detect the urgency and rapidity in responding to the complaints and requests. Furthermore, the repetitive recommendations taken into consideration, by forwarding them to the Top Management.

The Public & International Relations Section strives to implement the Top Management tendencies for the sake of fulfilling the excellence and pioneer for the Ministry. The section also works in a cooperation with other directorates by providing the full assistance and support to accomplish their responsibilities sufficiently. Also, planning and arranging the logistic and administrative arrangements for all events and occasions.
The Electronic content unit is responsible for managing the Ministry’s website content by updating its projects, news and publishing official reports. In addition, offering creative ideas for the website.

  • Reflect the spirit of Team Bahrain by supporting targets and priorities of the national agenda and Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, which is based on the principles of sustainability, competitiveness and, fairness.

  • Highlighting the Works Affairs efforts through all media platforms by publishing news and reports.

  • Rely on modern technology within the digital transformation initiatives and stimulate creativity and innovation by prioritizing development and providing statistical information, in order to enable senior management to make decisions that serve the purposes of sustainable development.

Our achievements in 2019

1. For the fourth year in a row , the work team in the directorate has succeeds in issuing the Ministry’s annual report in record time with the efforts and cohesion of all sectors coordinators committed to a strategic work plan, keeping in mind one goal which is to highlight the projects and services provided by the Ministry to citizens and residents in order to raise the name of the Kingdom of Bahrain high.

2. The Ministry has won Best Government Social Media Engagement Award – GCC 2019 at the Sharjah Government Communication Award in recognition of the effort made to achieve excellence in government communication. The communications Directorate has built an effective interactive communication environment internally and externally which helped to rise the name of Bahrain in the international space.

3. Prepare and publish information materials on a daily basis throughout the year in different forms (general and exclusive articles, interviews, press releases, TV reports, radio broadcasts, media campaigns, media investigations and events coverage.. etc.).

4. Arrange and organize media campaigns in order to inform the public of MOW’s projects. An example for such campaigns is the traffic congestion campaign, which aims to provide urgent solution for traffic congestion along with the main intersection, as well as creating awareness campaigns during rainy season.

5. Record and follow up all complaints and requests received from different media platforms, in an electronic system that connects all concerning directorates in order to achieve and improve the quality and rapidity of the responding process.

6. Organize weekly site visits to preview some of citizens’/residents’ complaints, and requests, in order to enhance the direct communication with the request owner. This would help in reaching customer’s satisfaction and improving the quality of service.

7. The Ministry has participated in (24) events, symposiums and exhibitions.

9. Communications Directorate has increased its electronic partnership participation level by promoting its services in all media channels to attract a large number of followers. A further point of interest is that, the Ministry’s Instagram account has been verified on 7th of November 2019.
